🎬 Netflix Launches First-Ever European Production Hub in Madrid

Big moves in European filmmaking: Netflix has officially opened its first permanent production hub in Europe, and it's just next door in Madrid, Spain. This is a major step in the streaming giant’s investment in European storytelling, and a great sign for the entire Iberian Peninsula, including Portugal.

The new hub features 10,000 square meters of studio space, six sound stages, post-production facilities, and office space for creative teams. It's already hosting Spanish originals like Money Heist (La Casa de Papel) and Élite, and the company says it plans to expand its regional productions in the coming years.

As Netflix scales up in Spain, neighboring Portugal stands to benefit. With tax incentives like the PIC Portugal Cash Rebate, stunning filming locations, and world-class talent, Portugal is well-positioned to attract productions looking for flexible and affordable alternatives.
