Filmmaking Portugal is built on collaboration — but every project starts with me.
I’m Bob Tapper, and I bring a unique blend of creative vision and business experience to every production. After 30 years in the California real estate and business world, I took a leap and left the U.S., traveled across Europe, and completely reinvented my life.
That journey became the foundation for my book, Hollywood to Europe (and back)—a story of courage, resilience, and creative reinvention as I pivoted from corporate life to filmmaking across continents.
It didn’t just reshape my life—it reshaped how I tell stories.
Today, I live in Porto, Portugal, where I serve as Chief Team Builder at Filmmaking Portugal. I collaborate with brands, agencies, and fellow creatives to craft production experiences that are as unique as the stories they aim to tell.
Whether it’s a commercial, short film, branded content, or passion project, I personally assemble top-tier creative teams that align with your voice, goals, and vision. The goal is to ensure your message lands with impact.
